Face Painting

Face painting is so fun! It polishes any costume, doubles the coolness of any child's birthday party, and lets adults feel like kids again. :)

I've face painted for carnivals, birthday parties, a dance recital, a family reunion, a huge regional singles dance, and lots of Halloweens. I love to see how happy and excited people get when they are transformed by a well-done face painting--when I hand them the mirror, and they take a look, say, "WOW!" and can't stop smiling!

I am located in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

My party rates: $50/hour

$65/hour for larger events. (Company parties, festivals, community functions, at restaurants, etc)

When you are planning for a party, know that it usually takes about an hour for me to paint 7-9 kids. I can do whatever is requested (except non-appropriate things of course), including amazing full-face stuff at parties! :) I bring my own supplies, table, and chairs.

I also love taking individual appointments for Halloween. (Or any other costume need, like a costume party, masquerade dance, etc.)  I charge $10 for a full face, $5 for a half face.

This little cutie has alopecia. If there hadn’t been other people in line I would’ve just kept painting her head for an hour! She was so thrilled when I was done, and kept looking in my mirror and saying “oh I love it, I love it!” What a cool experience to make this sweet girl feel beautiful and proud of her head, instead of feeling self-concious about her hair loss, even just for a day!! All of her friends were oohing and ahhing over her head, and she was beaming! 😊 One of the best reactions I’ve ever gotten. ❤️

Reviews:

"We had Amy come and do face painting at a family BBQ. There were over 20 kids there and each of course wanted their face painted. Each child had an individual choice and each turned out amazing. Each child was thrilled and it was fun to see them checking each other out. Amy was patient and cheerful in the midst of the chaos. She engaged the kids and listened as they chatted away. She was a great addition to the party and the kids talked about the face painting days later. I would hire her again in a heart beat and recommend her." --Rita, momma of 6 in Pocatello

"The faces were fabulous and the highlight of the party!"--Kaylee, momma of three in Idaho Falls.

"When my youngest daughter turned 5 we decided to do a carnival themed party. At the time of party planning my oldest daughters were taking art lessons once a week from Amy and they always had amazing projects to show me. When I was telling Amy about the party she mentioned she did face painting. Long story short, I hired Amy to come to the party and face paint. She showed up early and set up her station, always remained professional and very patient with all of the requests that the kids had. Their faces came out PERFECT!! We actually still look back at all of the pictures and still talk about how cool it was to have a professional face painter and how great each face came out and that was almost 2 years ago! I also need to mention that the paint Amy used was REAL face paint, not the cheap stuff. It came off easily when scrubbed and was very gentle on their skin. It was such a great experience and I would definitely recommend Amy 's face painting and her art classes to anyone and everyone interested! Thank you Amy!!!!☆☆☆☆☆"--Robertta, momma of 3 in Pocatello

...Thank you ladies, I am blushing. :) Email me today...I can't wait to make your next event magical!

**I use Wolfe brand paints, which are top-of-the-line, professional face paints. They are the highest quality and made to be perfectly safe for the sensitive skin of the face. This paint washes off easily with soap and water, but I'd recommend not sleeping in it, as the most vibrant colors can leave a bit of a "shadow" if worn for many hours!  (Oh and FYI... NEVER let anyone put craft paint on your face or your children's face!! YIKES!)

Here are a few more pictures of my work...enjoy! :)
